Who we are.

 

Central Church Bideford was launched in February 2018 as Grosvenor Church Bideford with a small group of faithful people who loved God, loved praying, and loved the people of Bideford and the surrounding area of North Devon.

 

The legacy of Robert Chapman and Grosvenor Church dates back to the eighteenth century and can be explored more at the following article published by Desiring God.

 

Since then, we’ve seen God do amazing things.  Every week, hundreds of people from all different walks of life come together as one big family to worship God, to love and support one another, and to find a home.  Everyone is welcome no matter what state your life is in.  There are “no perfect people allowed” in our church.

 

We meet on Sundays at 10am at Bideford College, and during the week in small groups all over the area. We also get lots of people exploring faith in Jesus through our Alpha course which we run regularly.

 

We’re here for the long haul. And we’re just getting started. Partnering with God to make Bideford the place it was always intended to be: vibrant, creative, beautiful, and safe.  A place where everyone loves God and loves their neighbour.
