Safeguarding

As a church, we aim to deliver the highest possible quality of care to everyone, especially our children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

We expect all who attend Central Church Bideford, especially leaders, trustees and all who work with children, young people, or vulnerable adults, to do their part to keep them safe and cared for in a way which upholds the dignity and value of the individual.

Central Church Bideford operates safeguarding policies and procedures that cover children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect workers to keep to the relevant policies and we give training and put in place oversight to ensure this happens.

We follow a safe recruiting process for paid and volunteer workers, including DBS checks for those who are aged 18 and above. We are also members of thirtyone:eight safeguarding charity.

If you have any concerns regarding the safety of a child, young person or vulnerable adult please contact our Safeguarding team at safeguarding@centralchurch.uk
