Central Church Bideford was launched in February 2018 as Grosvenor Church Bideford with a small group of faithful people who love God, love praying, and love the people of Bideford and the surrounding area of North Devon. We launched as an independent evangelical church late in 2022 and still maintain strong links to our parent church – Grosvenor Barnstaple.
The legacy of Robert Chapman and Grosvenor Church dates back to the nineteenth century and can be explored more at the following article published by Desiring God. As a church Grosvenor itself has existed in North Devon for around 180 years – so there is a rich history of faith-in-action here!
Every week, people from all different walks of life come together to worship God, to love and support one another, and to enjoy being God’s family together. Everyone is welcome irrespective of background or history.
We meet on Sundays at 10am at Bideford College, and during the week in small groups in the local area.
We’re here for the long haul, partnering with God to make Bideford the place it was always intended to be: vibrant, creative, beautiful, and safe – a place where everyone loves God and loves their neighbour.
