Giving.
Generosity is our privilege because Jesus was first generous toward us. For God’s people, the point of giving has never been ‘paying God off’ but rather thanksgiving, recognising that He has given (and will always give) the absolute maximum to those who love Him. Ultimately, the issue of giving is an issue of worship. Jesus tells us that where our heart goes our money follows. If we are Christians, we give the first priority in our finances, as in all things, to glorify God showing our thanks, love, commitment, and faith in Him.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
(2 Corinthians 9:7)
